Problems We Faced

Our first problem was the setting, our first chosen setting was at Highwood Hospital which was perfect as it was only a short distance walk from James' and Rachael’s house. One morning before school we all went to check out the location it was perfect as it was abounded and was a large building, also we found a basement which would have been perfect for shooting are thriller.  However, we went back roughly 10 days later to clean the site ready to film the next day but the hospital has started construction work and building work was already taking place. This left us without a location to film as it was dangerous for us to even be on the site without any safety equipment such as helmets, correct clothing and footwear.
We then had to re-locate rapidly so we can start filming, we had two ideas of location in mind and decided to use an abandoned house in Hutton. We visited this location and straight away we knew we could start filming immediately which ended up just perfect.

On the first day of shooting we thought we had enough video footage to edit our thriller, yet when we went in the editing rooms we had many shoots of the same clip and to make our thriller more professional and a higher level we had to return the next to re film. Lucky enough the weather was the same so there was no difference with sunlight, rain, thunder or lighting and darkness.

Additionally the actual location we did use, there was loads of drawings on the wall that would have affected the film so what we had to do is base the camera so that the drawings were not in the shot. Furthermore there was a large amount of glass over the location so we had to spend time cleaning up the area. All in all the location was a good one and didn’t make too much problems .
